The team from the Emory ALS Center at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta participated in a videotaped roundtable discussion about the essential elements of multidisciplinary care, specifically its benefits for patients. The panel included neurologists Dr. Jonathan Glass and Dr. Christina Nicole Fournier, nurse Holly Doe, and nurse Jane Bordeau. In the webinar MDA created from the Emory team’s roundtable, panelists discuss specific roles and disciplines that allow excellent care for individuals with ALS.

Expert-crafted speaker slide series on current topics in the Neuromuscular Disease space which can be leveraged for relevant talks or used as reference materials.
腾博网址The MDA Medical Education team has partnered with Kristin Engelstad, MS, CGC from Columbia University School of Medicine to create a detailed presentation discussing the multiple aspects of genetic testing. These slides will help clinicians to learn more about the importance of genetic testing, the clinical practice considerations, different types of genetic testing, available programs, and other considerations for testing such as cost considerations and finding a genetic counseling professional.

腾博网址The MDA Medical Education team has partnered with Dr. Robert L. Sufit and Dr. John M. Coleman from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine to create a detailed presentation discussing the multiple aspects of ALS care. These slides will help physicians to learn more about the diagnosis process of ALS, the mechanism of disease, and how to proactively manage symptoms. The MDA invites clinicians in our community to use this resource to educate other providers on the nuances of ALS care.
